About Me

My subject matters are wide and varied but I always look for a personality within the composition which I enjoy working on. Most of the time this is not apparent at the outset. I allow the painting to develop through layering, adding and taking away, colour on colour, thick and thin, paint and collage.

The palette is the key to unlocking those textures and colours which transform a blank canvas into something creative, unique and exciting.

My preferred medium is oil paint but I also use acrylic, pastels, ink and enjoy the freedom of drawing with pencil and charcoal.
